POSE is more than an Open Studio event; it's a community of passionate artists coming together to celebrate art in all its forms. Whether you're a painter, sculptor, ceramicist, photographer, musician street artist, Performance Artist or work in any other medium, POSE welcomes artists of every genre and discipline. Our aim is to showcase the talent we have in the city and surrounding areas, and elevate the status of our artistic community. Through the fees paid by participants and some fundraising initiative's we can hold a POSE with PurPOSE. Offering Paid work to an artist and to to Mentor a young adult who may not have come to the arts through a non traditional route.
Over the weekend of 25-27th October from10 am -5.30 artists will be opening up their studios to share their work with you, talk about their creative process and offer the opportunity to buy or commission work directly from the maker. Here is the list of POSE 2024 participants without whom, and some help from local businesses and Portsmouth City Council, none of this would be possible. This year we have managed to find locations in Cosham and the north of the city with Casemates Studios hosting, Making Space. We hope this will grow with locations popping up all over the PO1and PO6 postcodes over the next couple of years.
At Casemates, our studio doors will be open on the 26th & 27th of October. You will be able to view the studios, view artists work, book on workshops and get creative.

Each Jam session is one hour along and the following instruments will be provided.
Drums, Bass Guitar, 2 x Guitars, Keyboards and a mircphone for a vocalist. When selecting tickets please choose which instrument you will be playing, this will allow us to make sure we have the right amount of instrument for a jam session.
Turn your doodles into something noteworthy. Come and enjoy mark making in response to the sound and feeling of music. Artist Tanya Wood will help and guide you in the use of paper, pen and ink to express yourself and create a symphony of marks in the form of a doodlet (Tanya’s name for a piece of doodle design)
